Job Summary:
The polysomnographer position is located in Detroit, Michigan. This role involves overseeing and performing complex sleep studies and therapeutic interventions, including CPAP and BiPAP titrations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a 10-hour night shift schedule, four days per week.
Job Details:
- Location: Detroit, MI
- Schedule: 4 days a week, 10-hour night shifts from 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. required; Bachelors degree with some scientific coursework preferred; registration as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technicians (BRPT) required; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification required; Able to score Sleep Reliability by HFHS Sleep Center Guidelines is required; candidate must be registered; candidate must have BLS; candidate must have no minimum years of experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with children (patients starting at 5 years of age); on-the-job training available with Epic electronic medical record system
- Additional Information: Candidate will work at multiple sleep lab locations based on need, including facilities in Detroit, Brownstown, Clinton Township, Novi, and Grosse Pointe Farms. Candidate must be registered and have BLS certification. The role involves assisting technicians, troubleshooting data acquisition during sleep studies, scoring sleep recordings, and generating detailed reports.
