Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist, Pediatric Specialty, Springfield This position involves providing respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients in a hospital setting. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, effective communication within the healthcare team, and the ability to perform technical procedures within a fast-paced environment. The facility seeks a qualified professional committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 3x12 (1830-0700), minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited college program in respiratory care; current license in the state of practice; at least 2 years of pediatric/neonatal experience; certifications including Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care, Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional pediatric/neonatal experience preferred
  • Float: Float rotation may be required based on facility needs
  • Additional Information: Prior neonatal and pediatric intensive care experience required; responsible for assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions; must demonstrate competence in respiratory procedures, assessment, patient education, and safety practices; ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
