Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist specializing in neonatal and pediatric care in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients in a dedicated respiratory unit. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and possess the required qualifications as specified.

Job Details:

  • Position: Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (Respiratory Therapy Registered)
  • Location: Springfield, MO
  • Schedule: Nights, 3x12 (1830-0700), minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: RRT certification, graduate from an accredited college program in respiratory care, current license in the state of practice, at least 2 years of pediatric/neonatal experience, BLS certification from AHA, NRP, and PALS certifications, and prior neonatal and pediatric intensive care experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric/Neonatal experience of 2 years.
  • Additional Information:
    • Flu vaccination with Mercy Approved Exemption required from November 1 to April 1; declinations are not accepted.
    • The role involves technical skills related to respiratory practices, assisting physicians, patient assessment, and education.
    • Equipment used includes Draeger VN500, Hamilton G-5, Oscillator, and Jet Vent.
    • Accurate and complete documentation is essential, alongside adherence to safety and infection control policies.
    • The position requires flexibility regarding workload and assignments.
