Description

Job Summary:
The position of Ultrasound Technician specializing in Echo (echocardiography) is located in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This role involves independently performing all ultrasound procedures, including obstetric, gynecological, abdominal, and small parts imaging, adhering to departmental protocols to deliver high-quality diagnostic results. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. The assignment is scheduled to start on July 6, 2026, and requires working days from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Details:

  • Location: Carlsbad, NM
  • Schedule: Days, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Certifications: Ultrasound ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography); Ultrasound ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
    • Education: Graduate of an accredited American Medical Association (AMA) school
    • License: New Mexico license; eligible for ECHO license
    • Experience: 2+ years of ultrasound experience, including obstetrics, general, and ECHO (optional) procedures
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Proficiency in scanning small parts (thyroid, breast, scrotum) along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations
  • Additional Information:
    • No floating required
    • Scrubs: Any color
    • Operates ultrasound equipment safely and effectively, maintaining documentation accuracy in electronic health records and PACS system
    • Ensures patient safety, comfort, and safety compliance during procedures
