Description
Job Summary:
Pathology Assistant position located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The role involves working in a cytology and histology unit, with shifts scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The organization is seeking qualified professionals with the necessary certifications and experience in pathology and laboratory settings.
Job Details:
- Location: Cambridge, MA
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license, ASCP certification, current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 1 year of experience in pathology or histology, EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred, driver's license with matching address, and flu vaccination during flu season
- Preferred Qualifications: EMR experience with EPIC, recent charge nurse, manager or supervisor references in the specialty, skills checklist matching specialty, and RTO (Request Time Off) included at submission
- Additional Information: Must work every other major holiday. Submission must include ASCP certification, an updated resume, two recent supervisory references, a skills checklist, current NURSYS verification report showing active and past licenses, and documentation of vaccination compliance
