Job Summary:
The outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant position is located in Berkeley, California. The role involves assisting in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures, including development and documentation of treatment plans within the scope of practice established by the supervising physical therapist. Candidates are required to bring their valid State License and certifications on the first day. This position requires adherence to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid State License, certifications must be American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), at least 1 year of experience, familiarity with the Epic electronic medical record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience is preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The candidate will assist in managing patients with various conditions, including orthopedics, neurological disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Knowledge of procedures such as gait training, pain assessment, and the use of assistive devices is essential. The position involves completing modules that are non-billable, with some hours potentially billable if exceeding designated thresholds. A 7-year work history verification is required; candidates must provide accurate documentation. Candidates must be available to undergo lab work within 3-5 days of signing and are expected to comply with background screening policies, including disclosing any prior BG hits or DUIs. All certifications must be in hand at the time of submittal, and COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required.
