Description

Job Summary:
The cardiology technologist position is based in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role involves supporting the cardiac catheterization laboratory by assisting physicians and clinical staff in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
  • Shift: Rotating shift; Monday through Friday, variable hours based on procedural volume and department needs
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0 hours
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related program; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred, or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with cardiac catheterization experience; minimum of five years of recent cardiac catheterization laboratory experience preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
  • Additional Information: Position involves preparing procedure rooms, assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment, maintaining sterile technique, monitoring patient status, documenting procedures, assisting with patient transport and post-procedure care, maintaining equipment, and participating in quality and patient safety initiatives. The role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, strong attention to detail, proficiency with cardiac catheterization equipment and electronic documentation systems, and a commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care.
