Description

Job Summary:
The inpatient Physical Therapist (PT) position is located in Baltimore, Maryland, within a rehabilitation hospital. This role involves providing specialized therapy services to adult and geriatric patients with various neurological and spinal cord injuries or disorders. Candidates are required to bring their Maryland license on the first day. The position offers a dayshift schedule, with a typical shift of 8 hours and a minimum of 40 hours per week. First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment.

  • Length of Contract: 13 weeks
  • Required Qualifications: MD license, BLS certification, 1 year of clinical experience, active Maryland license.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult and geriatric populations, EMR system experience with Epic software.
  • Special Equipment and Skills: Hoyer lifts, overhead lifts, body weight supported devices, adaptive devices and equipment, gait training, neurological assessments, skin integrity management, wound care, and use of specialty beds.
  • Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics with spinal cord injuries/disorders and neurological disorders.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Providing patient and family education, implementing and modifying plans of care, reassessment, and safety/injury prevention practices.
  • Qualifications: BLS, 1 year of experience preferred, first-time travelers accepted.
  • Certifications: BLS required.
  • Onboarding: Labs required within 72 hours of signing contract.
  • Submission Requirements: Low vaccination requirements; flu vaccine is mandatory as scheduled, holiday shifts as scheduled.
