Description

Job Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) / PET (Positron Emission Tomography) Tech position is available in Mission Viejo, California. This role involves working primarily in PET/CT imaging, with potential to float to Nuclear Medicine (NM) procedures as needed. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers flexible start times with shifts of 8 hours, and a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Medicine (N) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) with California license.
  • Education and Experience: At least 6 months of PET experience required; 1 year of overall experience accepted. First-time travelers are eligible if they have more than 2 years of experience; less experience will be screened accordingly.
  • Schedule: Shift start times will vary between 0700 and 0900; shift options include 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts as preferred by the clinician.
  • Required Qualifications: CA license, ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification, BLS certification, minimum 6 months PET experience, and one year of experience overall.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience, Siemens imaging equipment experience.
  • Additional Information: Local radius is 50 miles; candidates must disclose license and background check results upfront; non-approved open license hits will be rejected.
  • Vaccinations: COVID-19 vaccination not required; flu vaccination status unknown.
  • Other requirements include LA fire card within the last 30 days, submission of two professional references covering the last 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs), and a commitment to working three of the five major holidays.
  • This role involves working in an acute care environment with a focus on nuclear medicine and PET imaging, utilizing equipment such as Siemens SYMBIA SPECT/CT, Siemens BIOGRAPH Horizon PET/CT, with a preference for candidates experienced with Siemens machines.
  • Travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
