Job Summary
A Mammography Technologist position is available in Salinas, California. This role involves performing mammograms and bone density procedures, assisting Radiologists with needle localization, stereotactic biopsies, and galactograms, and ensuring compliance with Radiation Practice Standards, the American College of Radiology (ACR), and the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA). Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Location: Salinas, California
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology training program approved by the American Medical Association (AMA); current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license (R) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) registration; BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards; minimum of six (6) months to twelve (12) months of Epic experience within the past year; one (1) year of experience as a licensed mammography technologist; bilingual in English (Read, Write, Speak).
- Additional Information: The role requires proficiency in GALACTOGRAM, mammography, stereotactic biopsy, needle localization, and bone density procedures. Experience with Epic electronic medical records system is required. The technologist will assist with scheduling, documentation, and Quality Assurance activities, and work closely with the department team to meet MQSA standards.
