Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Ultrasound Echo Technologist for a position located in Ellsworth, Maine. Candidates will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and supporting diagnostic imaging for adult inpatient and outpatient populations. The role requires candidates to bring their license on the first day and be prepared for a schedule involving 8 or 10-hour shifts with potential weekend work.

Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts (alternating between 8 or 10 hours, to be determined)

Required Qualifications: Zero years of experience required, BLS certification, RDCS through ARDMS or RCS through CCI certification, and valid license to practice echocardiography.

Experience: 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Facility Equipment and Technology: Philips ultrasound equipment, Cerner electronic medical record system, mobile scanning capabilities within the hospital, and specialized rooms including three ultrasound rooms, one stress lab, and one echo room.
Unit Information: The unit includes inpatient and outpatient services with facilities for stress testing, echocardiography, and bubble studies.
Additional Information: Orientation involves approximately one week or less. Weekend rotation may include Saturdays. On-call responsibilities are not required. Managers approval is needed for time off requests (RTO). Scrub color is not applicable. Parking is not free. The program name associated with this role is SimpliFi Travel.
Support and Staffing: 24/7 hospitalist, intensivist, and radiology technician coverage are available in the department.
