Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Assistant (OT Assistant), located in Pueblo, Colorado. This outpatient position supports acute inpatient, acute rehabilitation, skilled, and outpatient care settings. Candidates are expected to bring a current Colorado Occupational Therapy license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on the first day of orientation. The role involves conducting evaluations and facilitating early mobilization for a daily caseload of 8 to 10 patients, with a focus on patient mobility and safety assessments for discharge or transfer.
Job Details:
- Location: Pueblo, Colorado
- Schedule: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, every other weekend
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40.0 hours
- Start Date: 07/06/2026
- Required Qualifications: Current Colorado Occupational Therapy license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and availability to bring license on first day
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working independently in inpatient, rehab, or outpatient settings, familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as EPIC
- Additional Information: Clinicians are expected to work independently to conduct evaluations and facilitate early mobilization. Responsibilities include determining patients' mobility status and assessing safety for discharge to home or transfer to a rehabilitation unit. Orientation includes three shifts, with hospital policy allowing cancellation of up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. The position utilizes block scheduling with some flexibility, and the schedule involves working every other weekend.
