Description
Job Summary:
The outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant position is located in Kennesaw, Georgia. The role involves supporting licensed Physical Therapists in delivering rehabilitative care to patients within an outpatient setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This position is scheduled for Monday through Friday with two evenings until 6pm.
Job Details:
- Location: Kennesaw, Georgia
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with 2 evenings until 6pm, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school, CAPTE Certified, CPR Certification, 1+ Year of outpatient clinical experience, active applicable license for the state of Georgia
- Additional Information: Promotes patient and employee safety focused on 10 Foot Circle of Safety and displays safety awareness in areas such as safe patient handling, materials handling, infectious diseases, slips/trips and falls, and work environment. Follows all facility guidelines on personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality. Implements treatment plans established by Physical Therapists, assisting with various therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening exercises, balance exercises, pain relief, and community re-entry training. Trains patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices, demonstrating safe use and proper guarding techniques. Utilizes modalities such as whirlpools, ultrasound, fluidotherapy, and others, monitoring patient response and intervening as necessary. Documents patient progress and responses, provides education to patients and families, and maintains professional relationships with staff. Participates in team conferences and quality improvement projects, sharing recent literature and case studies as applicable. Complies with all safety, infection control, and clinic policies. Maintains a clean treatment environment and demonstrates excellent customer service. Performs other duties as assigned.
