Job Summary
Xray Technologist (Radiology) St. Louis, MO. The organization is seeking an Xray Technologist to support Radiology services, assisting with interventional and special procedures, gastrointestinal procedures, and general x-ray imaging in a hospital setting. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and readiness to participate in required weekend and holiday coverage. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days, 7:00am3:30pm, 12 shift hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Successful completion of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT); BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA only (American Heart Association); Radiologic Technologist licensure (RRA); 25+ years relevant experience in a hospital setting with patient populations from IP (inpatient), OR, ED, and OP (outpatient); eligible for facility-required flu vaccination policies (flu vaccination/approved exemptions required from November 1April 1; declinations are not accepted); availability for the entire week for orientation
- Preferred Qualifications: GE equipment experience; experience supporting OR and GI (gastrointestinal) patient care skills
- Float: Float rotation may be required between areas of OR, GI, minors, and IP/OP
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend; holidays must be worked if they fall on a scheduled day
- Call Requirements: As required by facility; preferably rotate weekend call
- Role Responsibilities: Assist radiologist and/or performing physician with interventional and special procedures (including myelography, hysterosalpingography, and arthrography and other such procedures); perform GI procedures and general x-ray procedures using portables, fluoro rooms, and general x-ray room equipment; perform surgery procedures using C-arms and O-arms as needed; provide patient care essential to the exams being performed; take OR call when necessary; maintain strong communication and team-based workflow
