Job Summary
X-ray Technologist (Radiology) St. Louis, Missouri
This role supports Radiology services by preparing for and assisting with interventional and special procedures, GI procedures, and general X-ray procedures using both portable and room-based imaging equipment. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and be available for an orientation period that may occur on a day shift prior to working nights.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights (9:00 PM7:00 AM), 4x10 shifts; minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Successful completion of an accredited radiography program; ARRT (required); Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) only; 05 years experience in a hospital setting with patient populations from inpatient (IP), operating room (OR), emergency department (ED), and outpatient (OP)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Flu vaccination requirements are in place for the facility during the specified season (with exemptions handled through approved declination processes)
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between areas of OR, GI, minors, and inpatient/outpatient units as assigned by the facility
  • Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend; holidays must be worked if they fall on a scheduled day
  • Call Requirements: As required by the facility; preferably rotate weekend call
  • Role Responsibilities: Assist the radiologist and/or performing physician in interventional and special procedures (including myelography, hysterosalpingography, arthrography, and other related procedures); perform and support GI procedures; complete general X-ray procedures including portable imaging, fluoroscopy rooms, and general X-ray room equipment; support surgery procedures using C-arms and O-arms as needed; provide patient care essential to the exams being performed; demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; be prepared to take OR call when necessary
  • Submission Requirements: All contingency requests must be submitted on the submission form
  • Additional Information: Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; the traveler must be available the entire week for orientation. Dress code requires black scrubs; croc shoes are not acceptable. Call requirements and weekend/holiday coverage apply throughout the contract
