Description

Job Summary:
A Pediatric Respiratory Therapist position is available in Norfolk, Virginia. This role involves providing respiratory care for pediatric patients, including those in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Emergency Department (ED), and general pediatrics. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of three years of pediatric experience with at least two years specifically in NICU, PICU, or pediatric general care settings, along with relevant certifications.

  • Required Qualifications: Valid Virginia license in hand; certification in Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Basic Life Support (BLS); minimum of 3 years' pediatric experience including NICU and/or PICU for 2 years; experience with vented patients; skills in conducting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and providing emergency care; SSN and DOB required; one reference in entire work history; documentation due 1.5 weeks prior to start date.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with vented patients in pediatric settings, NICU, or PICU.
  • Additional Information: This role includes a call requirement that will be discussed during the interview.
  • Schedule: 36 hours guaranteed weekly, 12-hour rotating shifts, including every other weekend and holidays.
  • Credentialing Requirements: Documentation due 1.5 weeks prior to start date.
  • Contract Issues: MSP required.
