Job Summary
Ultrasonographer General (Ultrasound Technologist) Red Wing, Minnesota. The healthcare provider produces high-quality ultrasound images for interpretation by physicians, meeting the standards established by the radiology department. The role requires demonstrated competence, as assessed through competency evaluations, across a variety of imaging equipment and technology. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Varied daytime hours Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM5:00 PM, with rotating on-call coverage Monday through Thursday from 5:00 PM7:00 AM and rotating on-call weekend coverage every 5th weekend (Friday 5:00 PMMonday 7:00 AM).
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program; Registry-eligible candidates must be ARDMS registered in either Vascular Technology (RVT) or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 6 months of employment (RVT preferred first) and both RVT and RDMS within 12 months of employment; third certification (Abdominal or OB/GYN) completed within 18 months of employment; employees providing breast imaging must obtain RDMS (Breast) certification within 24 months of achieved competency; employees hired for a role specific to vascular sonography who are not eligible to apply for Abdomen and OB/GYN certifications are exempt from the requirement of obtaining these registries; Basic Life Support (BLS) certified; ARDMS and BLS (as required by the manager).
- Preferred Qualifications: Ultrasound sonographer experience.
- Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel, and patients.
- Fosters teamwork through effective communication.
- Ensures a high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines.
- Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times, and lengths.
- Performs other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care.
