Description
Ultrasonographer Echo (Cardiac Sonographer) Omaha, Nebraska
The organization is seeking an Ultrasonographer Echo (Cardiac Sonographer) to perform cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound procedures to provide high-quality echocardiographic and vascular data for patients and medical staff. This role also supports ultrasound education and training for fellows, interns, and other staff. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40.0 hours per week; call as needed.
- Required Qualifications: High school education or equivalent; Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education/experience from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program performing all types of cardiac ultrasound in a health care environment (one year of education equals one year of experience); effective verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and able to work independently; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; prior cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound experience in a health care environment; minimum of 3 solid years of cardiac sonographer experience (will consider 2 years if the candidate has been at an academic teaching hospital); minimum 2 years of travel experience (potentially open to less, however not for a first assignment); Registered in cardiac ultrasound (ARDMS) (RCS via CCI is acceptable).
- Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 18 years of age or older; Associate's degree from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program; demonstrated ability to think deductively and make clinical decisions accordingly; experience with typical office equipment (e.g., telephone, fax machine, copy machine, calculator); experience with ultrasound equipment (including transesophageal transducers), research computer systems, and digital echo storage systems; demonstrated knowledge of cardiovascular and vascular circulatory system principles, including physics and blood flow hemodynamics.
- Additional Information: Department: Echocardiography. Charting/EMR environment includes EPIC.
