Description

Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Clinical Laboratory (CL) Technician in Charleston, South Carolina. This position involves supporting the catheterization laboratory with various interventional procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role requires adherence to hospital policies, including working on every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis, with a focus on patient care and procedural support.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN certification, at least 1 year of experience in interventional radiology or related clinical laboratory setting, South Carolina residency or licensure, and relevant certifications including RN.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing procedures such as LHC, PCI, TAVR, PPM, Impella, IABP, and knowledge of emergency medications.
  • Additional Information: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy and is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. The unit operates with 2 labs performing approximately 10 cases daily using GE x-ray equipment, with documentation systems including Maclab and Meditech. Procedures routinely performed include LHC, PCI, TAVR, PPM, Impella, and IABP, requiring advanced skills and emergency medication knowledge. Certification requirements include RN licensure, and the dress code consists of scrubs provided by the hospital.
