Job Summary:
Jackson, Mississippi The healthcare organization is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) for a temporary assignment starting on June 29, 2026. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients, including operating ventilatory equipment, performing diagnostic tests, and assisting with procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapy license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, no minimum years of experience required, must be licensed in Mississippi or eligible to licensure in Mississippi
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with pediatric patients is recommended but not required
• Additional Information: The role involves evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, explaining procedures to patients, administering physician-prescribed respiratory treatments, performing diagnostic and monitoring procedures including chest x-rays, EKG, pulmonary function tests, and assisting with various respiratory procedures and equipment maintenance. The Respiratory Therapist must adhere to all policies and procedures including laboratory testing guidelines, perform CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines, and document all treatments and patient responses accurately.
