Job Summary:
A Respiratory Therapist specializing in Pediatric (RT PEDS) located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is needed to provide comprehensive respiratory care within a healthcare facility. The role involves ventilator weaning, equipment operation, patient assessment, and adherence to clinical protocols. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This position involves night shifts.

Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapy license; certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); ability to operate ventilatory equipment (both invasive and non-invasive), perform pulmonary function studies, and conduct routine patient assessments; no minimum years of experience required.
Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric respiratory therapy experience, ventilator weaning experience, familiarity with laboratory testing policies, and proficiency in procedures such as tracheostomy care, arterial puncture, and endotracheal tube management.
Additional Information: The role involves performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, monitoring via oximetry and capnography, reviewing chest x-rays, conducting 12-lead EKGs, assisting with respiratory procedures, and maintaining accurate treatment records. Excellent communication with physicians and efficient shift handoffs are essential. The candidate must adhere to all clinical guidelines and documentation standards.
