Description
Job Summary: Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) Clovis, New Mexico
Respiratory Therapists provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic support for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, including those requiring cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory treatment, and/or ventilatory support. This role supports a fast-paced environment and includes varied assignments and floating needs. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week; varied shifts with no block scheduling guarantee. On-call coverage, weekends, and holidays are required.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Responsibilities: Provides cardiopulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic support for patients requiring cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory treatment, and/or ventilatory support; adapts to varied assignments and fluctuating departmental staffing needs; performs patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Required Qualifications: Two (2) years of current experience in adult critical care, progressive care, medical surgical care, and general pediatrics; Associates degree or Diploma in Respiratory Care; New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License; Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross); NALS (NALS) or Pediatric Resuscitation (NRP) certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).
- Preferred Qualifications: EPIC experience (training may be provided on-site).
- Additional Information: A 13-week contract assignment; may consider a 26-week contract based on need. Varied shifts and assignments may be required, including floating to alternate locations.
