Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Pediatric (PEDS) in Spokane, Washington. This opportunity involves working in a short-term acute care facility with a focus on pediatric and adult patient populations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of shift.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington state license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), applicable certifications such as BLS, PALS, ACLS; recent 0 years of experience; ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment requiring float between units and responding to emergency procedures, with experience in pediatric respiratory therapy strongly preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric patients, working on specialized equipment such as Puritan Bennett, Draeger, Trilogy, and LTV1250; familiarity with electronic charting systems such as Epic; previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center or similar setting
- Additional Information: The role may require responding to rapid response calls, providing airway management, and administering inhaled medications. The position involves working in an interdisciplinary team in a facility with 629 beds, including a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Level I Trauma services.
- Travel Experience Required: No
- Float: Float rotation may be required between units and possibly between sister facilities. Refusal to float may result in contract termination.
