Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) specializing in Pediatric (PEDS) care is sought for a hospital in Austin, Texas. This position involves working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), with responsibilities including standard respiratory therapy procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Required Qualifications: Respiratory Therapy certification, valid license, no minimum years of experience required, based in Texas, and be able to work 36 hours per week
• Preferred Qualifications: Adult respiratory experience in an acute care setting, adult critical care or ICU experience, proficiency in standard RT procedures (nebulizers, CPT, arterial blood gases, ventilator management, inhaled nitric oxide, bronchoscopy assistance, intubation assistance, transport with mechanical ventilation)
• Additional Information: This role requires collaboration within the RT department and across disciplines, with work involving the use of GE ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, and Airvo HFNC. The unit maintains a staff of approximately 7-9 RTs per shift under the supervision of a shift leader. Scrub attire includes olive green tops and black pants. The unit is equipped with advanced technology and features a dynamic work environment in a busy NICU setting.
