Description

Job Summary
Xray Technologist Madison, Wisconsin. The organization is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (X-ray) to perform a wide variety of imaging exams across adult, geriatric, adolescent, and pediatric patients. Responsibilities include troubleshooting basic equipment/processing issues, participating in quality assurance activities, and resolving problems related to image processing and archiving. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

Schedule: Day/Evening shifts with 8-hour shift coverage; minimum 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure/Certification: ARRT R (Radiologic Technology), Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through American Heart Association (AHA), State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer
- Education: Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
- Clinical Experience/Skills: Trauma Level II experience (required)
- Experience: 2 years of experience (minimum)
- Regulatory/Compliance: Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Additional Testing/Assessments: Pass/Fail testing required with strict passing criteria; a telemetry exam will be required prior to start
Preferred Qualifications: Level I and II trauma experience is preferred
Additional Information:
- Imaging responsibilities include a wide variety of exams and patient care tasks using radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers.
- Troubleshooting basic maintenance needs, participating in quality assurance, and addressing issues related to image processing and image archiving are required.
- Specialty skills include abdomen imaging (decubitus, supine KUB, upright), bedside/portable procedures, C-Arm procedures, emergency department imaging, radiation safety, and trauma cases, among many other listed modalities/exams.
- Float expectations may be required: Travelers are required to float as needed.
