Description
Job Summary: Radiologic Technologist (Xray Technologist) Butte, Montana. The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to produce accurate imaging results in accordance with provider and imaging order requirements. The role includes patient transfer and preparation, proper operation of imaging equipment, contrast preparation and administration per radiologist protocol, and ensuring patient and staff safety using radiation safety practices (ALARA). Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); CT certified; Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association; ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to successfully function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment; ability to understand and use computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite, and willingness to learn applications relevant to the position.

- Additional Information: Performs diagnostic x-ray procedures including appropriate operation of all x-ray imaging and related equipment; appropriately educates, positions, and immobilizes patients; coordinates x-ray examinations to support timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care; understands and follows imaging orders; submits required images and related clinical information for radiologist interpretation; evaluates image quality; communicates appropriately with patients, coworkers, radiologists, and leadership; appropriately utilizes, charges, and maintains department supplies; practices sterile technique and follows infection prevention policies; safely performs x-ray procedures including patient transfer; prepares and administers contrast according to radiologist protocol; follows radiation safety measures (ALARA) to ensure patient and staff safety; supervises and evaluates student radiographers in the clinical setting. A personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignment; providers are encouraged to use an existing badge from a previous employer or assignment when available. If a new badge is issued, prior exposure history will not be reflected.
