Description

Job Summary
Interventional Radiology (Interventional Rad) Technologist Dallas, Texas. The Interventional Rad Technologist performs interventional radiology (IR) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 4x10s, MondayFriday, 09:00 AM07:30 PM, with rotating day off and rotating on-call schedule; minimum 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association (AHA) Only); Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (TX-MRT); Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) licensure/credential; minimum 2 years of IR experience; trauma-body and neuro-stroke experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience; Level I Trauma Center experience; ARRT-VI is preferred.
  • Additional Information: Performs high-quality IR procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner; prepares patients and the procedure area, including positioning, immobilization, and equipment setup; protects patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques, including proper sterile techniques for invasive multimodality procedures and maintaining hand hygiene; maintains equipment and the work area to quality and cleanliness standards and reports issues as appropriate; ensures individuals are safe to enter the department by screening them per approved policies and procedures; obtains and verifies relevant documentation (including requisition/chart information, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding precautions, and consent forms) and maintains medical imaging records in the appropriate system in a timely manner; utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements, ensure the correct exam is performed on the correct patient, and establish rapport; instructs and communicates with patients and family regarding the test and assesses the patients ability to tolerate the exam; is able to take call, if required, and be ready for cases per call requirements (including required response readiness for arrival to the unit).
