Description
EEG Technologist Registered (EEG Tech) Burlingame, CA
The organization is seeking an EEG Technologist Registered to support both inpatient and outpatient services, including ICU and Emergency Department needs. Responsibilities include performing and supporting adult EEG services and related neurodiagnostic testing, such as long-term/video monitoring and evoked potential studies. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday through Friday; 5x8s with shift times of 08001630/09001730, with 7.5 shift hours per shift and a minimum of 37.5 hours per week. On-call requirements are variable; weekends are covered 08002000 with MF post-shift on-call extending until 8:00 PM.
- Required Qualifications: EEG Technologist Registered (R.EEGT)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience (as stated in the posting)
- Experience with adult ICU, adult inpatient, and adult outpatient EEG services
- Experience assisting with EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies (as stated in the posting)
- Experience performing Auditory Evoked Potential, Electrode Placement, Emergency Department EEG support, Long Term Monitoring/Video Monitoring, Portable Recording, Seizure Studies, Sleep Deprived EEG, Sleep EEG, Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP), and Visual Evokes Potential (as stated in the posting)
- Licensure and submission requirements: Nursys uploaded within the last 2 weeks with a valid California state license
- Certifications: Uploaded any applicable certifications with valid expiration dates; certifications must be AHA or ARC
- References: 2 references obtained within the last year
- Work history compliance: Accurate work history information going back 7 years from the start date (and may require documentation/contacts for verification)
- License must be brought on the first day
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic charting system experience (if applicable)
- Additional Information:
- Call coverage is variable and includes MF post-shift coverage until 8:00 PM and weekend coverage from 08002000.
- Holiday time off is limited to one holiday per contract request, with holiday coverage beginning at 7:00 PM the night before the holiday and ending at 7:00 AM the day after the holiday. Holidays listed include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
- Compliance and onboarding expectations: labs must be completed within 35 days of contract signing; all compliance documents are due 10 days prior to the start date. Modules are non-billable and recorded through e-learning.
- Submission includes: uploaded Nursys within the last 2 weeks with a valid California state license; uploaded applicable certifications with valid expiration dates; 2 references obtained within the last year; and prior manager name(s) needed on application.
