Description
Job Summary: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Fredericksburg, Virginia. The organization is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Registered to support pediatric care, with responsibilities focused on NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) experience and advanced respiratory therapies. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications:
- Licensure/Certification: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (NRP may be obtained after hire)
- Education/Degree Requirements: Not specified
- NICU Skills/Experience Requirements: At least 3 in NICU skills; NICU experience required
- Clinical Skills/Experience: 2 years of general RT experience; experience with CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and intubation assistance with mechanical ventilation skills
- Preferred Qualifications:
- NRP certification (preferred; may be obtained after hire)
- Additional Information: The role supports pediatric/RT activities including advanced respiratory procedures and therapies. All-black scrubs are required.
