Description
Job Summary: Speech Language Pathologist Inpatient (SLP IP) Richmond, VA. The organization is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide inpatient rehabilitation services, including swallowing and language support. The role will support stroke evaluation and treatment and includes a weekend rotation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days; 8 hour shifts, with a minimum of 40.0 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, with weekend rotations.
- Required Qualifications:
- License to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist (required; candidates must bring the license on the first day)
- Hospital and inpatient rehab experience (stroke evaluation and treatment)
- 2 years experience in a hospital setting (minimum requirement)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Hospital and inpatient rehab experience (preferred)
- Stroke evaluation and treatment advanced skills (as applicable to role requirements)
- Additional Information:
- Unit-focused responsibilities include swallowing and language procedures.
- Use of Vital Stim and AmpCare; MBSS with TIMS.
- FEES documentation is supported through Meditech Expanse.
- Communication expectations include use of AIDET and immediate service recovery.
- Float may be required to an acute hospital if rehab census is low and on weekends.
- Joint Commission Stroke Certification is required.
- Dress code: black scrub bottoms and royal blue top (preferred).
