Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Physical Therapy / Danville, Virginia
A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is needed for an outpatient (OP) physical therapy role supporting adult patients. The position focuses on therapeutic exercise and may include pelvic health, lymphedema, and orthopedic needs. Candidates are required to bring their PTA license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience/skills related to pelvic health and lymphedema
- Comfort with manual techniques (not mandatory)
- Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic exercise as part of patient care
- Support hands-on/manual correction as part of treatment approaches (willingness to learn required)
- Assist in addressing patient needs related to back pain, neck pain, TMJ, vestibular concerns, pelvic floor needs, lymphedema, balance/gait deficits, and stroke (as applicable to the caseload)
- Additional Information:
- Outpatient setting within an adult patient population
