Description

Job Summary: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT Peds) Saint Louis, Missouri
The organization is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Registered to support pediatric respiratory care during night shifts in a short-term acute care setting. This role will provide respiratory therapy services that align with hard-stop certification and required clinical competencies. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

Schedule: Nights, 12 shift hours; minimum 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT); at least 2 years of experience; Epic charting experience; pending license accepted (MO submit without license OK; requires Missouri or compactno issuance if tied to another compact state).
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience.
Additional Information: RRT is a HARDSTOP and should not be passed if the RRT credential is missing. Weekend coverage is required every third weekend. Special requirements include Epic experience and airway management device/suctioning proficiency, including endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, oropharyngeal/suctioning, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy/suctioning. Medication administration includes albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, inhaled Flolan, inhaled steroids, lidocaine, nitric oxide (INo), Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, and Xopenex. Oxygen therapy includes High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC). Ventilator management includes BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
RTO: Pre-approved time off is allowed up to two specified pre-approved days.
