Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (CCL TECH) Springfield, Illinois
The cardiac cath lab technologist role supports diagnostic and interventional procedures in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, maintaining sterile technique, assisting with cath lab procedures, and supporting patient care across adult and geriatric age groups. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: 3x12 Days (06301900), with minimum 36.0 hours per week; will work 23 weekends per contract
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); ARRT (ARRT); Catheterization and Interventional Radiology Society (RCIS); minimum 1 year of diagnostic cardiac cath lab and/or interventional cardiac cath lab work setting experience; Cerner experience required; ability to perform scrub procedures and support infection control requirements including isolation precautions and sterile technique; experience with cardiac cath lab procedure skills including diagnostic catheterizations (adults), left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), cardiac stent placement, cardiac implant closure device support, IABP placement/removal, interpretation of dysrhythmias, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, Rotablader athrectomy, and equipment setup; middle and older adult age-specific competencies; ability to work call as needed

- Additional Information: Open to discussing schedule requests with the manager; on-call coverage is required as needed; first-timers are accepted; floating within scope to meet facility needs is not indicated as required for this role (confirming staffing needs may still involve routine assignment adjustments within the unit)
- Submission Requirements: Please provide 23 interview times upon submission; SSN and date of birth are required at the time of submission; AHA and Red Cross only certifications are accepted (RQI cards not accepted); candidates must have Cerner experience relevant to the position; previous permit/PRN candidates must be separated by 12 months before applying as a traveler; must be pre-closed at submission and have the required compliance items completed within required timelines; candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
