Description

Job Summary: Radiation Therapist (RTT) Grants Pass, Oregon
Radiation Oncology Therapist position within an outpatient Radiation Oncology clinic. Responsibilities include the delivery of external beam radiation therapy patient treatments, including CT scan duties for the full-time Radiation Therapist, while working alongside another therapist during treatments on Varian TrueBeam and Elekta Infinity machines. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per shift; minimum 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in external beam radiation therapy patient treatment delivery; Registered Technologist in Radiation Therapy (ARRT); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association (AHA)); Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) licensure/registration.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
  • Additional Information: External beam radiation therapy patient treatments on Varian TrueBeam and Elekta Infinity treatment machines; Mosaic record and verify treatment records; Outpatient clinic setting; therapists do not work alone on treatment machines (2 therapists on each machine); full-time Radiation Therapist performs CT scans; locum Radiation Therapist treats patients daily; weekends not required unless patient treatments are needed due to machine downtime during the week (doctors call); orientation via shadowing current Radiation Therapists or a brief onboarding period (expected to be able to get up to speed within 35 days); business casual dress code, including scrubs (no open-toed shoes) and Asante T-shirt or scrub top.
