Job Summary
This position is for a Dietitian located at a healthcare facility in Houston, Texas. The role involves providing nutrition care and assessments within a 372-bed unit, supporting patient education, and participating in in-services for dietary staff. Candidates should be independent and driven, thriving in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certified Dietary Manager (CDR-RD License), Texas Registered Dietitian (RD) License, at least 1 year experience working in an acute care hospital setting
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with nutrition support including enteral and parenteral nutrition; competence in performing nutrition assessments, NFPEs, patient education, TF/TPN orders, and in-service delivery
- Additional Information: Unit has 372 beds with a patient ratio of 10-15 patients per registered dietitian. Equipment used includes electronic medical records systems such as Expanse. The role may involve floating to units including CVICU, MICU, IMU, Medical Surgery, Post-Surgical, and Bariatric. The dress code is navy scrubs. No weekend or on-call requirements specified.
