Description

Job Summary: Sacramento, CA Registered EEG Technologist
The registered EEG technologist performs routine and specialized non-invasive neurological tests ordered by a physician to support diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. The role includes working independently to deliver safe, accurate procedures and timely results. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 3 x 12 Days (12-hour shifts), with weekend rotation; minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Registered EEG Technologist certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) and BLS-certified; ABRET (listed as ABRET*); 1 year of experience; Valid state licensure with documentation uploaded via Nursys within the last 2 weeks
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ambulatory EEG; experience with long term monitoring/video monitoring; experience with sleep deprived EEG/sleep EEG; Epic experience
  • Responsibilities:
    • Perform routine and specialized non-invasive neurological tests as ordered by the physician
    • Execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner
    • Operate and calibrate electromyographic equipment in accordance with standard procedure
    • Perform electrode placement and support a range of neurodiagnostic procedures, including ambulatory EEG, long term monitoring/video monitoring, sleep EEG/sleep deprived EEG, and evoked potential studies
  • Additional Information: Holiday coverage includes New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
