Description

Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Midland, Michigan. The respiratory therapist provides respiratory care for cardio-pulmonary needs, administers medications and therapeutic modalities, performs diagnostic testing, and responds to arrest and emergency situations. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights (12-hour shifts); every other weekend; minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Active Michigan/MI license (must be stated as active); Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC); Work History Skills Checklist current to 1 year, pertinent to Respiratory Therapy; two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel work experience
  • Additional Information: Performs respiratory care to evaluate and treat protocol-driven needs; delivers medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers; responds immediately to rapid responses, arrest, or STAT situations while maintaining artificial airways and supporting respiration and cardiac compressions; sets up and maintains oxygen equipment according to protocol
