Job Summary:
The physical therapist specializing in inpatient rehabilitation located in Augusta, Georgia, is responsible for providing comprehensive therapeutic services to patients within a busy inpatient unit. The role involves working with a team to facilitate patient recovery and mobility, utilizing advanced equipment and adhering to unit-specific policies. The position offers a dynamic hospital environment known for its rapid patient turnover and specialized programs.
Job Details:
- Position: Physical Therapist Inpatient
- Location: Augusta, Georgia
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start Date: 09/07/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certification in BLS; at least 1 year of experience working with inpatient rehabilitation; experience with the Care Tool preferred; must have advanced skills performing procedures on inpatient rehab units; adherence to dress code of black scrubs and closed shoes; location in Augusta, Georgia
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with inpatient rehab units and familiarity with the Care Tool
- Schedule: M-F 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (start and end times are flexible), with 2 weekends during a 13-week assignment. The schedule includes two days off during the week, with added weekend rotation integrated with the regular staff.
- Additional Information: No floating policy; patient caseload generally includes 3-4 patients daily, occasionally up to 5; unit staffing includes 2 therapy technicians during the week and 1 on weekends; treatment involves wound care and use of diverse equipment such as hi-low mats, Nustep, II bars, steps, balls, weights, car simulator, Bioness L200 and H300, and BITS interactive computer system.
