Job Summary: MRI Technologist (Location: Dallas, TX)
The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for diagnostic purposes, following established protocols. This role operates under general supervision of a Radiologist and supports patient safety through adherence to safety requirements, infection-control practices, and radiation policies. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 3x12s (FriSun), 19000730; minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA Only); Registered Technologist (Magnetic Resonance) (ARRT (MR)); license required (brought on the first day); minimum 3 years of experience.

- Additional Information:
- Performs high-quality MRI procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner, maintaining production and imaging quality standards.
- Uses AIDET to identify patient service requirements, ensure the correct exam is performed on the correct patient, and build rapport.
- Prepares patients and the imaging area by positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, setting exposure factors, and ensuring proper exam setup.
- Protects patients and employees by following safety requirements, infection-control measures, and drug and radiation policies and protocols; uses proper sterile techniques for invasive multimodality procedures and maintains hand hygiene.
- Maintains equipment and the work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards and reports issues to appropriate department personnel.
- Screens individuals to ensure safe entry to the department per approved policies and procedures.
- Obtains, verifies, and maintains relevant documentation (e.g., requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status and shielding precautions, consent forms) and ensures medical imaging records are maintained in the appropriate system for timely interpretation.
- Demonstrates current knowledge and continued education to provide care appropriate for newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric age groups.
- May serve as a preceptor by providing training to new team members and supporting new services and initiatives.
- Able to administer first aid and use an emergency cart.
- Able to take call, if required.
