Description
Job Summary:
The Richmond, Virginia healthcare organization is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position. The Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive patient care related to respiratory therapy, including operating ventilatory equipment, performing pulmonary function tests, and assisting with airway management procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license; Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Education requirements; Location requirements; No minimum years of experience specified.

- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The Respiratory Therapist will evaluate patients, perform treatments, operate ventilatory equipment, review chest x-rays, conduct pulmonary function studies, assist with procedures and tracheostomy care, and follow policies related to laboratory testing. They are responsible for recording treatments, communicating with physicians, and maintaining accurate records.
