Description

Job Summary:
An EEG Technologist (EEG R) position is available in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves providing specialized electroencephalogram (EEG) services in various clinical settings, including adult intensive care units, ambulatory EEG, brain death assessments, emergency departments, long-term monitoring, NICU, PICU, and sleep studies. The candidate must bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Anchorage, Alaska
  • Schedule: 3x12 variable shifts per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid State License (allowed to submit with a pending license, takes 10-12 weeks). Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), R.EEGT. Skills required include experience with adult ICU, ambulatory EEG, brain death evaluation, electrode placement, emergency department procedures, electromyography (EMG), long-term monitoring/video monitoring, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), portable recording, seizure studies, sleep-deprived EEG, sleep EEG. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records (Epic) and specific charting experience.
  • Additional Information: Candidates' permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility. Candidate must be willing to work two out of three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Travelers can only work for a maximum of one calendar year in their assignment and are required to take a minimum six-month break before returning. References: Two references covering at least one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years, including Charge RNs or Lead RNs, during the compliance process and prior to start.
  • Certificates & Inclusions: Copy of certifications, specific charting experience (Epic), and vaccinations for Hepatitis B are required.
  • Further Details: No float requirement specified. The traveler may be called off for one 12-hour shift every two weeks. The submission must include SSN, Date of Birth, and RTO restrictions.
  • Additional notes: Candidates must be willing to work two of the three major holidays and submit supporting documentation as required.
