Description

Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapist (RTT) position is located in Bangor, Maine, within a Level II Trauma Center. The role involves working with three Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerators and a Siemens Somatom Go Open Pro CT Simulator. The facility serves two-thirds of the state with air flights and is a Certified Stroke Center. Candidates are required to bring their state license on the first day. This position is ideal for professionals with some experience in Mosaiq and/or Varian systems.

  • Required Qualifications: ARRT (Therapeutic Radiation Oncology) certification, Maine State license for Radiation Therapy, BLS certification, 0 years of experience minimum, flexible to accept candidates with 1-year experience depending on the experience type and system familiarity, ability to work in outpatient and inpatient settings with primarily adult and geriatric patients, and knowledge of EMR system Mosaiq
  • Preferred Qualifications: Mosaiq experience, TrueBeam experience
  • Schedule: 4-week schedule, days shift, no weekends, no call, in rotation with other techs, specifics to be provided with the requisition for the interview
  • Additional Information: Orientation period of 1 to 1.5 weeks based on experience, covering three Varian TrueBeam Linacs and a Siemens CT Simulator, approximately 90 patients seen daily, professional solid color scrubs preferred or provided, free parking available, and scheduling done in rotation with other technicians
