Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Mammography Technician in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves performing diagnostic and screening mammograms using advanced imaging equipment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position offers a 13-week assignment with a start date of 08/31/2026, and candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in mammography.
Job Details:
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiologic (R) and Mammography (M)
- Experience: 1 year in mammography required; 0 minimum experience acceptable
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, hours will vary within the timeframe of 7 am to 6 pm. Most shifts are Monday through Friday, with approximately 1-2 Saturdays per month.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (pending license accepted; processing takes 10-12 weeks), ARRT R (Radiologic Technologist), ARRT M (Mammography), BLS certification, at least 1 year of mammography experience, geographic requirement of at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with 3-D Mammography, Digital Mammography, Hologic 3D, Outpatient and Inpatient mammography, Radiation Safety, Screening Mammograms, Universal Precautions, Core Measures, and Epic charting system.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have their permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility. Travel assignment duration is capped at 1 year, with a required 6-month break before returning for another assignment at the same facility. Travelers should be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. The assessment includes compliance requirements such as references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years, and mandatory vaccination policies solely accept Hep B vaccines.
- Travel Policy: Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Only one regional site submission is permitted. References need to be provided and must include contact information covering the requisite timeframe.
- Other: Candidates are expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. Time off approval is individual-specific and must be included at the time of submittal.
