Description

Job Summary:
The Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based acute care facility is seeking a registered EEG (Electroencephalography) technologist to join their team. The position involves conducting EEG tests for inpatient and outpatient clients across all age groups, following established safety and procedural guidelines. Candidates must bring their certification and license on the first day and are expected to cover both day and night shifts, including weekends, with flexibility for floating between units.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 36 hours per week, including two 8-hour day shifts on Monday and Tuesday, and two 12-hour night shifts on Wednesday and Thursday. After-hours call coverage required for nights and weekends.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification as a Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEGT.) through ABRET, BLS (AHA) certification, at least 1 year of experience in neurodiagnostics, South Dakota state licensure, and eligibility to submit a license.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with inpatient bedside routine EEG and bedside long-term hookups, outpatient routine EEG tests, using the standard 10-20 system and cap application, and EMU experience is a plus.
  • Additional Information: Role involves floating to multiple units or departments within the facility, performing routine EEGs on both pediatric and adult ICU patients. Training includes two days of orientation. The position is located in a 545-bed hospital.
  • Submission Requirements: It must be noted whether the clinician has previously been employed by the facility; if yes, the end date of prior employment must be at least 6 months prior to submission.
