Job Summary:
A Respiratory Therapist (Registered) position is available in Bemidji, Minnesota. This role involves providing respiratory care across multiple hospital departments, including emergency, intensive care, medical-surgical, pediatric, obstetric, and family care units. Candidates must bring their Minnesota state license on the first day of work. The position requires delivering care to patients of all ages, utilizing various respiratory equipment, and adhering to hospital and departmental policies.
Job Details:
- Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour days, with rotating weekends; potential assistance required for night shifts
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited program in respiratory care with Minnesota licensure; current BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP certifications; certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC; minimum of 2 years of experience; valid Minnesota state license or willingness to apply upon acceptance of offer
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in acute care settings; ability to efficiently communicate and prioritize daily duties; competency in care/treatment of all age groups; effective equipment skills (listed above)
- Additional Information: Floating across hospital departments including emergency department, ICU, medical-surgical, pediatrics, obstetrics, and family care areas. Orientation includes hospital specifics, equipment, policies, and brief computer training. All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility. The dress code is gray scrubs. Clinicians who previously worked at the organization must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
- Schedule: 12 hours shifts, both days and nights, with every third weekend; minimum 36 hours per week.
- Certifications and Licenses: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC, and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC.
