Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) for a Post Acute care setting in Sacramento, California. The therapist will provide outpatient services primarily at a skilled nursing facility, with training to float to an inpatient acute care hospital located nearby. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Sacramento, California
  • Position: Physical Therapist (Outpatient)
  • Shift Hours: 8-hour days, with two weekend shifts per month, first to float as needed
  • Schedule: Days; 8 hours per shift; minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: California Physical Therapist (PT) license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum two years of experience, experience working independently and performing transfers, excellent communication skills, experience with Cerner electronic charting system
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with total joint replacements, stroke, deconditioning, pneumonia, balance difficulties, and managing geriatric patients with chronic conditions; ability to work closely with an interdisciplinary team
  • Additional Information: The typical patient load is 8-9 patients per day, with diagnoses including CVA, TKA, THA, COPD, among others. The role involves providing outpatient services with a focus on post-acute rehabilitation. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
  • Submission Requirements: Two supervisor references from modality submitting to (charge accepted) at submittalone within the last 12 months and one within the last 3 years; a copy of the drivers license is required at submittal to validate legal name; the candidates pulse must reflect the name on a government-issued ID.
