Description
Job Summary:
Fremont, California The organization is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with a specialty in X-ray imaging for a position within their radiology unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves proficiency in operating in the operating room and performing general imaging studies such as chest, spine, and extremities. The position encompasses rotating day and evening shifts, including every other weekend, with the flexibility to adapt to department needs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Shifts are 8 hours, starting at 8:00 AM, 3:30 PM, and 11:00 AM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Working days include rotating day and evening shifts, with every other weekend scheduled and Monday off.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) with a valid California license and Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) license. A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred, although no specific experience is mandated for this particular posting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working proficiently in the operating room, handling general radiology studies, and familiarity with department-specific equipment from GE, Phillips, Siemens, and Carestream.
- Additional Information: The department has four fixed rooms, including portable units, and may require coverage for the operating room and computed tomography (CT) imaging. The radiology department operates with a lead tech 24/7, and radiologists are available in-house until 6 PM with external radiology support at night. No intravenous (IV) starts are required. The organization uses EPIC for charting, and scrubs are provided in Ceil blue, though the hospital has some available. Orientation includes a tour of the unit followed by one week of training.
