Job Summary
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position is based in a busy acute care facility with approximately 400-430 beds. The role involves performing interventional cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, peripheral vascular procedures, electrophysiology, and pacemaker insertions. The technologist will operate sophisticated cardiology equipment, assist physicians during procedures, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. This position offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to work closely with interventional cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a 10-hour shift and a minimum of 40 hours per week. Call required with a 30-minute arrival time for STEMI coverage, including one weekend per month and one weeknight per week; additional call shifts may be available.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist, associated degree in Radiology, ARRT certification, Massachusetts license (may consider applicants willing to apply), BLS certification, and ACLS certification.

- Additional Information: The technologist will assist during interventional cardiac procedures, operate complex cardiology equipment, verify imaging protocols, and participate in ongoing education. The role involves manual dexterity, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and infection control policies. Training and education of students and technologists may be required. The position is initially offered as a 13-week assignment with potential for extension.
