Description
Job Summary:
Cytologist in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This position involves processing and interpreting cytology specimens, with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards. The role requires candidates to bring their license on the first day. Candidates must meet all specified qualifications and be available for the scheduled start date.
Job Details:
- Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 12 months in Cytotechnology; proactive experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) and Sunquest information system; ASCP (CT) certification or equivalent Cytotechnology certificate; equipment experience with BD Focal Point and BD SurePath; must be a graduate of a Cytotechnology program; able to process 50-60 slides per day (300 slides/week); valid drivers license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC EMR highly preferred; Sunquest experience highly preferred; cytotech certification from ASCP (CT) or equivalent preferred; previous performance evaluations within 24 months preferred.
- Additional Information: The candidate may be required to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays including 4th of July, Memorial Day, or Labor Day.
