Description

Job Summary:
A Vascular Sonographer position is available in Waterloo, Iowa. This role involves providing diagnostic imaging services focusing on vascular studies, including venous and arterial evaluations, as well as general abdomen and OB/GYN scans. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and should be proficient in EPIC electronic medical records. The position requires working on call from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM Monday through Friday, with weekend call coverage as needed.

Job Details:

  • Location: Waterloo, IA
  • Shift: Call coverage Monday-Friday from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Weekend call coverage as needed from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM.
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 37.5 hours
  • Start Date: 07/13/2026
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Active Iowa (IA) license or compact/multistate license at the time of submission
    • Certifications: ARDMS (AB), ARDMS (RVT), ARDMS (OB/GYN), AHA/Active American Heart Association or ARC/Red Cross BLS
    • Minimum of 24 months of current Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele experience in a Sonographer capacity
    • Experience in general/abdomen imaging
    • Experience in non high-risk OB/GYN imaging
    • Experience in vascular imaging (venous and arterial evaluations)
    • EPIC electronic medical records experience
  • Preferred Qualifications (Highly Recommended):
    • ARDMS (RVT) and ARDMS (OB/GYN) certifications
  • Additional Information:
    • Candidates should have work history demonstrating 24 months of relevant experience
    • Must provide professional references from within the past 24 months, including supervisor or nurse manager evaluations
    • Candidates are expected to work during major summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
    • The candidate must submit a drivers license, and performance references
