Description

Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist in Detroit, Michigan. This role involves administering ionizing radiation treatments, verifying prescriptions, and documenting patient care within a clinical setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position is a 13-week assignment, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Job Details:

  • Location: Detroit, MI
  • Certifications and Education Requirements: A.R.R.T. Radiation Therapy Technology Certification or registry eligible; Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Required Qualifications: Operation of HDR machine, radiation administration, radiation prescription verification, patient chart documentation, patient marking localization, patient positioning, use of immobilization devices, operation of linear accelerator; 2 years of experience
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, minimum 40 hours per week
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Varian and Aria systems, working on True Beams, and teamwork abilities
  • Additional Information: This position entails working with 1 or 2 other individuals on shift, with no on-call or weekend responsibilities. The working environment involves minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures, with potential exposure to radiation mitigated by safety procedures. The role may include lifting patients or equipment up to 50 pounds, and frequent interaction with critically ill patients.
